Equine Guelph offers several additional educational opportunities for people interested in increasing their knowledge of horses. I have completed the Equine Science Certificate and am working towards the Equine Studies Diploma. They are well worth it-and if you think you know a lot about horses, you will find out very quickly that there is always more to learn.
The University of Guelph (at both the Guelph and Kemptville campuses) offer both diploma and degree programs in the Equine field.
Olds College (Alberta) offers a two year Equine Science Diploma
There are four apprenticeship programs in the horse industry-saddlery, groom, harness maker and blacksmith (specializing in farrier).
